Patio Gazebo Designs

Tuesday, May 12th, 2009

Patios are used for sharing meals together, having good conversations and even listening to drinks and music. They can be designed any way you like, but a great patio roof design can set the atmosphere for your patio. Here are some great ideas for patio roof designs:

outdoor gazebo, gazebo plans 1. Patio Umbrellas. These are made of wood, and the umbrellas come in many colors. If you have a pool, patio umbrellas are good patio roof designs because they are relatively inexpensive and give a natural, relaxed, resort feel to your patio. You can use patio umbrellas for smaller sized patios, seating areas of 4-6 by the poolside, or two of the same size in opposite areas of the pool. The great thing about patio umbrellas is that you can easily close them to enjoy the summer sun, and just as easily open them if you’d like more shade.

2. Canopies or Gazebos. Made out of wrought iron or wood, these are versatile as the covers can be removed to enjoy the summer sun, or draped over with canopies during the rainy season. Fabrics for draping come in many colors and designs, and can be water proof, depending on your budget and the feel you are looking for. For the sides of the gazebo, adding a trellis so that vines can climb up add a more natural feel.

3. Metal Patio Roof. For those who enjoy sitting in their patios during the rainy season, corrugated metal patio roof designs are sturdier and will last through the elements. These are more permanent fixtures, and can be attached to your home. They provide maximum shade and protection from the rain as well.

4. Clear Glass. Clear or tinted glass patio roof designs are a more daring way to express your creativity in your patio. They let the sunshine in, and at the same time protect you from the elements. Glass roofs are also very sturdy, and allow you to bask in some sunshine.

5. Aluminum Pan Roof. Aluminum is a popular choice because of its durability, and its low maintenance cost feature. Aluminum is also cool, and let some natural sunlight in while protecting from the rain and other elements. It also keeps you cool during hot summer months.

Remember to be unique when choosing patio roof designs, choose something that will compliment your house as patios are an extension of your living room.

An outdoor gazebo is one of the oldest types of outdoor recreation buildings. It has been around for a long time, hosting small town events all around the country. It is used for not only entertaining, but an outdoor gazebo has other uses as well.

You can have an outdoor gazebo the size of a pavilion and have elaborate parties with music and dancing. You may use an outdoor gazebo as the scene of your most perfect of days; your wedding ceremony. An outdoor gazebo can be used as a summerhouse, a place to dine al fresco or a place to have your next relaxing evening at home.

You can buy an outdoor gazebo from many sources. Your best bet for ideas is to go to a local home and garden store, and look and see what styles and materials they have. This way, you can see how the material is going to look and be able to decide what size outdoor gazebo you will need to look great in your backyard.

After all, your outdoor gazebo will part of your outdoor landscape for a long time and you want to be sure you absolutely love it.

An outdoor gazebo can come in a kit, with all the materials you will need to construct it yourself, or if it is too complicated, a member of the staff where you bougoutdoor gazebo, aluminum gazebosht it. Purchasing An Outdoor Gazebo

Wednesday, March 4th, 2009

When people decide to purchase a gazebo, they often strive to achieve a certain viewpoint in the yard, either from the inside looking out or the outside looking in. Whether a poolside retreat or a garden centerpiece, a gazebo may also fulfill a longtime desire to revisit childhood memories many people growing up in the south have said they wish to relive.

The three most common materials gazebos are made of include wood, metal, and vinyl. Woutdoor gazebos, wooden gazebos, gazebo designsood that lasts like metal and vinyl is the most requested. Unlike patio covers that are mostly overhead and exposed to the weather, thus making metal and vinyl the best choice, a gazebo is to be felt all around you, and the feel of wood cannot be duplicated. That is probably why they repaint wood at Disneyland every night after closing instead of using anything other than wood.

While pine or redwood gazebos are less costly than weather resistant woods such as pressure treated and others, they will not last a long time in moisture-laden areas. Whether at the beach, the mountains, near the golf course, or the swimming pool, wood deteriorates over time. If this happens, the entire structure is compromised and soon has to be replaced. When is the last time you saw a telephone pole be replaced because it rotted from moisture? Even though they are put directly in the soil, they last for a very long time. They last because they are pressure treated.

As for the roof of a gazebo, solid composition, wood shingle, or metal will allow the gazebo to stay the cleanest and less likely to need repainting. These are usually decided upon by the need to match the home roof or surrounding yard setting, and the same goes for the color of the roofing. For the open slatted roof, painted wood can be used but will require maintenance, while metal or vinyl have the advantage of longevity in the weather, and can be used without completely losing the feel of wood down below.

The majority of gazebos are painted white to stand out from their surroundings, but can be painted or stained almost any color. Most of the major brands of paint have transitioned from oil to water base over the years and offer 25-year guarantees of endurance. With a good primer it should only be necessary to repaint due to fading or wear in the coming years, and the second coat even lasts longer since a certain amount of the first coat is absorbed into the raw wood.

Now as far as whom to buy your gazebo from, all the tried and true rules apply. References and character go hand in hand. Most thieves don’t care to uphold their name over time. They want your money fast and the consequences they’llwrought iron gazebos, backyard gazebos   deal with later. The most incredible scenario that is seen time and time again is how customers will settle on the first gazebo merchant that seems reasonable and amicable, and in their haste they settle without comparing between other companies. This will come home to roost in about 4-5 years when it becomes evident the gazebo will not last very much longer, from lack of quality materials. Even the cheapest materials used on a gazebo look great and are hard to detect from the ones that will last, when first installed. And you can bet the builder will not be able to do anything for you when you realize your mistake.

Most gazebo builders have a magnifying glass on their competitors, and while all is not to be believed by one source, you can start seeing a pattern when the same opinion is outdoor gazebo designs, wholesale gazebosshared by two or more sources. The lack of customer comparison allows many seemingly reasonable, but actually uncaring companies to continue, no matter how many customers find out the truth too late. As with any product or system, a checks and balance makes it possible for the weeds to be separated from the good, and the customer ends up with the gazebo they imagined they would receive.
