Friday, June 12th, 2009

If you are planning a wedding then you should know the wedding planning timelines.

It can take up to one year to plan a wedding, depending on when and where it is to be held.

One year before

First, a date must be set for the wedding. If it is to be held in the most popular months, May, June, July or August, a year ahead is not too early to start reserving the church, and lining up the members you wish in the wedding party. Establish the budget. If you are using a florist, start getting estimates of floral arrangements for tables and church. You will also need to decide styles of corsages, boutonnires and whether or not to have a flower girl with rose petals to strew in the bride’s path. Decide on a theme for your wedding.

Choose a Gazebo for your wedding day here!

Six to Nine Months before

Reserve a banquet hall and hire a band. You will need to enter into a legal contract with the band so you will not find yourself without music at the last minute. Make arrangements for your soloist for your wedding ceremony. Locate a photographer and establish numbers of pictures desired. It is time to shop for your wedding dress and bridesmaid’s dresses, and start getting estimates on tuxedo rentals.

Shop here for some gorgeous  Wedding Fabrics!

Three to Six Months before

Decide on the number of guests to be invited. Contact various printers in your area to get prices and decide on the style of invitations. Order your invitations. Contact the tuxedo rental store to make a commitment to rent from them. Contact the florist you have chosen and make a commitment to purchase from them. Decide on the banquet menu and get estimates from caterers. Make a commitment to the chosen one. If you need to have a bakery provide the cake, it is time to get that ordered also.

Two to Three Months before

Register at your favorite stores. Shop for the wedding accessories you will need, such as wedding guest books, wine glasses for the ceremonial toast, cake knife, gifts for wedding party, wedding favors and table centerpieces. Pick up your invitations from the printer and get them addressed. Check in with your florist, caterer, photographer, church, band, etc. to be sure all is on track. Solve any problems. Try on dresses to see if alternations are needed. Try on tuxedos.

Make arrangements for rehearsal dinner. It is time to mail the wedding invitations. Arrange for wedding rehearsal with church and minister. Attend showers.

One Week before

It is time for the rehearsal. After the rehearsal, enjoy the company of the wedding party at dinner.

One Day before

Gather all dresses, tuxedos, reception decorations, etc. and deliver them to the church or banquet hall. Get hairdos. Tomorrow is the big day.

How to Choose a Wedding Theme

Friday, June 12th, 2009

beach wedding decorations, outdoor wedding decorations

You will probably need to choose your wedding theme what you starting planning for your big day. The choices for your other wedding items such as invitation and gown will probably follow the theme so that your wedding can become a whole unique event. In fact, there are quite a number of different themes you can choose from. Some of the most popular choices are beach wedding and winter theme wedding. In this article, tips about choosing the theme will be discussed.

You will want to shop for the best variety and prices on  Gazebos  and look for some great deals on  Wedding Flowers

You will first of all consider the season and time of the year you will have your wedding. It will be nonsense to plan for a winter white wedding if you are going to host it in summer. Considering the season, you may even try to relate your big day to the festivals. One of the most obvious possibilities is certainly Christmas. If you are going to have your big day on the Christmas day, you can certainly make your wedding ceremony and reception a Christmas party. Adding some seasonal favors to your wedding can make your big day more unique.

You will also need to choose between the notions of formal and informal wedding. Some couples will believe that a wedding should always be a formal event and it makes no sense to plan for an informal one. On the contrary, some other couples may think that the essence of a wedding is sharing the joy and happiness withtheir beloved ones. As a consequence, these couples may go for a more informal wedding. Once you make your decision on this matter, it Wholesale wedding decorations, Outdoor wedding decorationswill be quite difficult for you to change. It can be a mess if you change your mind at the middle of your wedding planning. For example, you may need to pay extra if you have originally ordered your wedding invitation in a formal style but you change it to an informal design when it is being printed.

Besides the choice between formal and informal, you will also need to consider if you want a traditional or modern wedding. You may choose to have your wedding in a church and this will most probably be more traditional. In this case your choice of wedding gown may also be more traditional. Since all the traditional choices are usually well developed, you may somehow find it easier to plan for a traditional wedding. However, some couples nowadays may want to go for something different and unique so that the big day reflects the life style of them.

The budget is also an important consideration when you are choosing your theme. If you are on budget, you may choose a theme which can help to save you money. A beach wedding is considered a more economical choice of theme. Of course there are always ways to save money no matter what your theme is. However, no one can deny that some themes may render a cheaper wedding. As a result, you may need to avoid themes that will certainly cost you more if you are not planning to spend so much money.

 Decorations With Variety

When it comes to wedding decorations,  flowers  aren’t your only option. Think outside the proverbial flower box with this list of eight blossom-free unique wedding decor ideas:

Church Wedding Decorations, Unique Wedding Decorations

So you’re not a froofy floral arrangement kind of bride – that doesn’t mean you can’t still have a wedding dcor scheme that wows. Think outside the proverbial flower box with this list of blossom-free ideas for wedding decorations.

Love Visually
Build a structure consisting of a bunch of different ornate frames with photos of not only you and your fiance, but also parents and grandparents whose marriages serve as inspiration for time-tested love.

The Food Pyramid
Fill cylindrical glass vases with fruits and vegetables reflecting your colors. Oranges, lemons, and limes have been done, so try a unique, more contemporary look with mangos or coconuts – or tie it to the season with texture-rich earthy vegetables like husked corn, acorn squash, or artichokes.

Outside Looking In
Give your guests something to really look at with goldfish swimming in aesthetically shaped vases. Consider building interesting mantels or use other species like Siamese fighting fish or white clouds. For their sake, add the water and fish right before the reception and return them to a bigger tank before the party’s over.

Gazebos  can be a great source of beauty and can be decorated in nature’s own beauty or dressed up with a bit of  tulle/netting  or other  wedding fabrics .

Au Natural
Consult Mother Nature for inspiration, and bring the outdoors in. Natural objects like stones, leaves, pine cones, even twigs can add an organic aesthetic to your reception decor. Place in rustic containers or scatter amongst pillar candles for added ambiance. This idea will nicely complement a fall wedding theme.

A Library Look
Stacks of books intricately piled can work in a number of different ways. For sophisticates, choose antique leather-bounds. For a more fun approach, use kitschy romance novels. Or, tie it to your wedding location – if beach-side, go with maritime classics like Moby Dick and The Old Man and the Sea.

Wine-O
Wine bottles and decanters create interesting focal pieces. Turn a wine bottle into a "lamp" by filling it with candle oil and adding a wick. Decorate the base of the bottle with bunches of grapes.

Lighten Up
Floating candles in a shallow bowl adds light and elegance to your tabletops. Or arrange multi-level candles on a mosaic of mirrors or tiles, and surround them with seashells or flower petals. Placing coffee beans or red hot candies at the bottom of a vase or bowl to hold the candles steady also adds an aromatic effect.

Consult your Inner Child
For the kid at heart, fill decorative bowls with your favorite candies – such as jellybeans and M&M’s – in your wedding colors. These centerpieces are sure to be a hit with your guests!

Theme Based Wedding Decorations

Tuesday, June 9th, 2009

You will need to make tons of decisions during your wedding planning. Of all the decisions you are going to make, one of the most important will be the decorations of your reception hall.

weddings reception decorations, yourself wedding decorations You wedding decorations should follow your wedding theme. Otherwise it will become pointless to spend so much effort, as well as money on your decorations. Some couples will hire vendors to do the decorations for them. However, a vendor which does not really provide services of high quality may give you all the ready made items which have been used many times before. As a result, you should have your own decoration idea in mind in order to take your decorations to another level.

Decorating a  gazebo  is a great way to bring in nature and yet dress it up a bit.  Adding  flowers  to your decorations can bring color and variety.

You should start your wedding decoration based on your hobbies. The ideas generated should be applied to all the wedding items so that they will become a unity.

Here is a real case example of integrating personalization in a wedding theme and wedding decorations. A wedding decoration firm got an order from an couple. The couple did not have any idea about the wedding theme and decorations at the very beginning. After a few meetings with the couple, it was discovered that the bride was an oil painting lover. This became the concept generator of the theme and decorations. They decided to make the reception hall like an art gallery, with oil paintings hung on the walls. This idea turned out to be a very successful job for the company.

In the above case, although it seems that the groom was left out in the decoration design, the groom, as well the parents of the couple, were all satisfied with the decorations. However, if I were the company and the bride could manage to do so, I would further suggest the bride to paing all the oil paintings herself so that the reception hall becomes a venue of an oil painting exhibition of the bride. The guests will certainly be impressed and amazed by such a wonderful exhibition.
There are a variety of  wedding fabrics  to choose from when planning a wedding.  Not only are fabrics used for the brides dress and  the bridesmaids,  tulle or netting  is another way to use fabric to enhance your wedding decorations.

All of us have different hobbies and preferences and the above idea is only an example which cannot be applied to your case directly. You should applied the concwholesale wedding decorations, church wedding decorationsept behind instead. Since the wedding should reflect the couple, it will be always a good idea to plan for your wedding theme and decorations based on your hobbies and preferences. For example, if both of you and your partner love to collect vintage items, you can certainly bring the items you collected to the reception hall and use them to decorate your wedding venue. You wedding reception hall will become an exhibition on vintage items, and this should be a unique and special design for your reception hall. You guests will be amazed when they see a typewriter which is made on the 50s in your wedding.

One final suggestion is that, you should never make up some "hobbies" in order to decorate your wedding venue. You have to bear in mind that it is your wedding. Your wedding should be able to reflect your and your partner. It will be pointless to make up something just for the decorations of the wedding.

Necessities and Supplies for a Successful Wedding

Monday, June 8th, 2009

Planning a wedding can be both exciting and stressful. For a bride-to-be, all the planning can make them anxious and overwhelming due to all the details they have to take care of as well as the wedding supplies. This article will help you take care of the important details first.

wedding table decorations, yourself wedding decorations

Constantly thinking of the wedding supplies you’ll need and how the wedding would turn out could be horrifying. Careful and detailed wedding planning is recommended. Here is a list of the supplies that you have to purchase for the big day to make sure that you don’t miss the necessary stuff.

Gazebos
A great way to decorate the outdoors is with a  gazebo .  Many gazebos do not need additional decorating as they are so very beautiful on their own.  Wedding Arch

The arch symbolizes your union with your spouse. After the wedding, you will be sharing a new life together, living under one roof. There’s a perfect arch for each wedding theme and specific budget. If you are on a tight budget, don’t force yourself to buy a wedding arch because you can always rent. Decorate the rented arch as you wish.

Candles and Holders
Unity candles can be beautiful dcor for the wedding. There are a wide range of designs and colors to choose from and not only that, you can further personalize it such as having the couple’s name on it as well as the wedding date. The candle holder should also be as elegant and you can also choose from a three piece holder in gold or silver or, you can have an all-in-one that comes in many designs such as butterflies, cherubs or doves.

Silk Flower Decorations
There’s no doubt that silk flowers look real and are cheaper than real flowers. Silk flowers have longer longevity and are easy to arrange and handle. It’s obvious that flowers breathe life to the venue so they will never go missing. If you can’t afford to get an abundant supply of the expensive, real flowers…this option is the best for you.

Wedding Aisle Runner
The aisle runner is a symbolic representation of the new path that you are about to take with your partner. An advice is not to go for plastic aisle runner, instead, have vinyl or rayon aisle runners because they are tear resistant and heavy duty. You can choose plain white or the ones with floral prints or weave patterns. You can even have it personalized by having your names or a short message printed on it using your favorite font and colors.

Wedding fabrics

A wide variety of wedding fabrics  can be used for decorating at a wedding.  Runners often are made of cloth.   Decorating with tulle or netting  can be an inexpensive yet impressive addition to any wedding.

Wedding Favors
Of the so many wedding favor choices you can find in the market, deciding what wedding favors to give away can become difficult. You want your wedding to be remembered. You want to leave a mark in the minds of your guests. You want to give something that has practical use. Look for the best wedding favor to match your wedding theme. If you have the luxury of time and talent in making crafts, do them yourself (or you can even ask some friends who share the interest to help you). Save money and give your favors your personal touch.

Wedding Cake Topper
The wedding cake is one of the major attractions at the wedding reception. Therefore, both the cake and the cake topper should be strikingly beautiful. Choose the cake topper that best emphasizes the wedding theme or best speaks of what’s common with you and your partner. You don’t have to stick to the traditional heart and dove or boy and girl kissing porcelain figurines. Why not have the novel ones? Have at look at some funny wedding cake toppers and think about the smiles it will create on your guests’ faces. "Runway Bride" and "The Tiff" figurines are two of the common funny toppers.

Bridal Accessories
The bride is always worried about not looking her best during the important day. Looking elegant and beautiful can be achieve by wearing the beautiful wedding dress and having your make-up done simple yet elegant. To further enhance your look, you will need the help of bridal accessories. These are the simple jewelry piece that compliments your wedding outfit and stylish hair accessories. A pearl-studded hair clip will hold your hair nicely and makes you look more elegant. If you prefer to have a your hair fall nicely behind your back, you should have a tiara that can instantly turn you into a fairytale princess.

Sometimes, relying on your memory alone is not an effective way to remember a lot of things. In the course of wedding planning, new details pop up and old ideas tend to be forgotten. Have a list, write things down-the wedding supplies you need to acquire and the things you need to accomplish. If you do that, having a sublime wedding is not an impossibility.

Planning Your Perfect Wedding

Steps To Your Perfect Wedding

Step 1: Budget. When planning your budget you will need to decide which of these items you want to include in your wedding and how much money to spend on each.  An alternative to booking an expensive hall to hold your wedding in is purchasing a  gazebo  that can add permanent value to your property long after the wedding bells have rung.

Step 2: Size. The size of your guest list will depend on personal preference and budget. Some brides dream of a huge wedding with 300 guests, while others prefer an intimate ceremony with only close friends and family. We settled on 100 guests–large enough to invite who we really wanted to come and small enough that it still felt personal.

Step 3: Planning and Scheduling. Planning and follow-up are the most important factors in getting the wedding you want. That beautiful atrium in the park is probably booked years in advance as are many beautiful, old churches. Even if you are planning to get married in your own church and use its reception hall, you’ll need to find out about fees and availability. Research reception locations by looking in local bridal magazines, newspaper bridal sections and online. If a friend or family member has a beautiful back yard, you may want to have your wedding there. It would make an excellent wedding present. Choosing the locations of your ceremony and reception should be the first thing you do after settling on a budget. You can not plan or schedule anything until you know when and where everything will happen.

Wedding Fabrics  can add color and style to any wedding, and usually are reasonably priced.  This is true especially for  tulle, or netting, , as it is not only a good drape, but a great cover-up for an unsightly part of your decorating area.

Step 4: Food and Alcohol. The food you give your guests does not have to be expensive. They are there to witness your marriage and celebrate with you. If you serve Chicken Francaise instead of Filet Mignon they will not enjoy themselves less. For drinks, you have many options. You may decide not to serve alcohol. Or, you may serve one or two special drinks-you can even name one after yourself and your groom. You may also decide to offer an open bar. Remember that alcohol can eat up a large portion of your budget. Talk to the caterer about your options.

Step 5: Wedding Party. The size of your wedding party should match the size of your wedding. If you have 300 guests, 10 bridesmaids and 10 groomsmen will fit right in. But, if you have 80 guests in a small church, it may look comical trying to fit those 20 attendants on the small church alter.

Step 6: Music. If you are having a church wedding, ask the priest or pastor if he can recommend someone to play the ceremony music. Or, you may know someone who could play at your wedding as a wedding gift. For your reception, should you choose a band or a DJ? Having a live band at your reception can be special, but expensive. We chose to have a DJ, not just for the savings but because he could play any song and it would sound great. Whatever you choose, go over what is required. Are there any songs you DO NOT want played? Do you want the DJ or musician to introduce the wedding party, start off the first dance, and announce when it is time to cut the cake? Often this is included, if not-speak to whoever is in charge of your reception location and find out if they offer this service.

Step 7: Traditions. Some couples disregard traditions. Other couples want to include them or even start their own. The biggest tradition is probably the bride carrying "something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue." But, there are many other traditions you can incorporate. If you don’t wear your mother’s wedding dress, you may want to pin a piece of its lace onto your slip or tie it around your bouquet. You can wrap a family locket around your bouquet with pictures of you and your groom. I attached my mother’s antique brooch, which had been handed down from my grandmother, to a chain and wore it as a necklace. It made me feel as if they were with me on my wedding day and it meant a lot.

Step 8: Invitations. Invitations are another item that can be surprisingly expensive. They don’t have to be. I knew exactly what type of invitation I wanted, but at a stationer, it would have cost $800 to $1000. I did a lot of searching online and was able to order two less expensive sets of invitations, put them together how I wanted and ended up spending less than $400. Places like Staples and Michael’s also have nice invitations that you can print yourself at home for less than $100.

Step 9: Photographer. This is where we spent a bigger portion of our budget (Only the reception location, with food included, cost more). Even if our wedding was the best wedding in the world, it would only last for a few hours. With good pictures, we could relive it over and over. When you look for a photographer, ask questions. Who will be the photographer? What if he is sick? If you hire a company that has several photographers you may be shown sample wedding photographs from the best photographer. You sign up. Then on your wedding day "your" photographer can’t make it and someone else shows up-someone probably much less talented. Also, ask if the photographer will shoot in color, black and white, or both. Will he shoot traditional shots, photojournalism, or both? Will you be able to keep the proofs? Can you buy the negatives? How much time will the photographer spend at your wedding? Will he also take photos of the bride and groom preparing for the wedding?

Wedding Table Decorations, wedding ceremony decorations
Step 10: Dress. Some brides feel they need to spend a lot of money on "the dress." My husband thought my dress would be the biggest expense, but it was one of the smallest. The dress I fell in love with happened to be on sale because it was discontinued. It was just my size! I didn’t even need alterations. How often does that happen?! Even if you are not that lucky, there are thousands of beautiful wedding dresses between $150 and $850. Check out the large bridal stores as well as your local bridal shops. If you like tradition, you can wear your mother’s wedding dress and have it altered to fit your style. You want to love your wedding dress, but remember-you will only wear it one time for about 8 hours.

Step 11:  Flowers . Choose flowers that match your wedding colors. Your local florist can make suggestions and tell which flowers will be in season (they will be less expensive). The flower arrangements were one thing I should have followed-up on with a second meeting. I told the florist exactly what I wanted for my bridal bouquet-deep red roses, no greenery, long matching ribbons (which I provided), and how I wanted the roses gathered. I even gave her a picture. We also discussed the attendants’ bouquets and flowers for the reception tables. The day of the wedding, the attendants’ flowers were more beautiful than I imagined and the table flowers were gorgeous. My bridal bouquet was almost nothing like what I had asked for. I had red roses, but also plenty of greenery, no ribbons, and an ugly plastic piece that held the flowers. The wedding was in an hour and there was nothing I could do. I tried to put it out of my mind and concentrated on everything else that was wonderful about that day. Remember-follow up is one of the most important factors in getting the wedding you want.

Step 12: Hair & Makeup. Many brides go to a salon and have their hair and makeup done. If you do, have a trial run so you know you will be happy with the results on your wedding day. Going to a salon is not a necessity. You may decide to do your own hair and makeup or have a friend do it. You can schedule practice sessions and try several hairstyles to get it perfect.

Step 13: Cake. Many reception halls provide the wedding cake. Mine did. However, I was not happy with my choices. They agreed to make the red velvet cake I requested, but not the decoration I wanted. I had seen exactly what I wanted in a wedding magazine so I called the bakery listed in the back. The baker was able to make the decoration (without the cake) and ship it to my reception hall. The nice people at the hall, accepted the shipment and put the decoration on the cake. It was perfect! If you plan to do something like this, make sure everyone involved is willing to do their part. Then follow through and make sure the shipment is sent, that it arrives, and that the cake maker knows how to arrange the decorations (give her a picture).

outdoor wedding decorations, wedding decoration ideas
Step 14: Favors. These little mementos are small tokens of appreciation to your guests for sharing in your special day. There are many options to choose from. You can give something that matches the theme of your wedding, such as starfish wine stoppers if you are having a beach wedding. Or, you can give something that symbolizes the love you share with your new husband such as a scented candle with the monogram you share as a couple. You can give something edible such as the traditional chocolate covered almonds, or you can make your own favors. Just try to give something your guests will appreciate and use. A wine glass with your and your groom’s name and wedding date may be pretty, but not very practical to a guest.

Step 15: Relax! You’ve done the research. You’ve done the planning. You’ve done the shopping and creating. And, you’ve done the follow-up. It’s now time to relax and enjoy the day. Don’t worry about the little things that go wrong-because something will go wrong (remember my wedding bouquet?). The important thing is that at the end of the day-after the ceremony that is witnessed by your friends and family, after the dancing and laughing and partying-you will be married. You and your groom are starting your new life together. That’s the most important thing.

Wedding Planning Ideas

Friday, June 5th, 2009

The decorations at your nuptials can be considered one of the most remarkable things you plan. Your guests will gauge your wedding ceremony by what their eyes behold. Here are several decorating ideas to help you in your planning feat.  One great idea is to incorporate a  gazebo  into your wedding.

Cake Decorations

Cake tables should be small enough so that the cake doesn’t seem tiny on top of it. But the table should be steady also. Not several decor on the cake has to be edible. Just make sure guests can discern not to eat those decorations. Put your cake in a prominent place where various guests can see it. Your ceremony cake should be an prominent part of the reception decor. One idea is to put your cake in the middle of the dance floor. It can be removed after the cake cutting ceremony.

Flowers

church wedding decorations, wedding ceremony decoration
One prominent thing to consider when you’re choosing  flowers  for your wedding is whether or not the flowers you hope to have are in season. If you plan your arrangements in advance, you can avoid problems like flowers being out of season or not being able to make the arrangements you would like. There are many factors to consider including what flowers are in season, allergies of the bride or groom, the color scheme of the las vegas wedding, and the budget available for floral services. Every bride has her own favorite flower, but putting together beautiful bouquets, corsages, and centerpieces is more puzzling than just selecting one particular flower.

What Different Flowers Mean

Outdoor Wedding Decorating Ideas

Spring is a great time for new beginnings, especially for starting a new life with someone special. What better way to celebrate than to incorporate a spring theme into your wedding decorating! A few simple touches are all it takes to have a big impact. After a dull winter, your guests will appreciate a bright and happy occasion.

gazebo  is a great basis for planning a spring wedding.  There are many varieties and styles to choose from.  A gazebo is a beautiful addition to any yard or wedding.

gazebo wedding decorations, outdoor wedding decorations Popular colors for a sping wedding are pastels, so keep this in mind when shopping for your bridal party,  wedding fabrics , and for your decorations. If you want a darker color for your bridesmaid dresses, try using the same color in a lighter shade for the wedding flowers and centerpieces. The contrast will add freshness to your big day while making everything look smart and well coordinated. Try not to use too many different pastel colors together unless you’re planning an Easter wedding. Some great color choices are: pink or rose, light blue, yellow, lavender, and a soft green. Some good color combinations include rose and lavender, lavender and light blue, or yellow and soft green. Using colors that are close to each other on the color scale will give a softer look to your day, while using opposites will create bolder combinations.

Other than color, some easy ways to add spring to your wedding are:

– Use potted bulbs in your decorations. They can be used to decorate your ceremony, as centerpieces at your reception, and on the gift and cake tables. Just make sure to choose bulbs whose flowers aren’t heavily scented in case any of your guests have allergies. A lot of scent in a closed in room can have people looking for fresh air very quickly. Daffodils and tulips are great choices and are available in a variety of colors. You don’t need to have the same flower at every table, and using a variety can make your decorating more interesting for your guests.

– Other seasonal  flowers  that can be used as cut flowers are lilacs, pansies, and freesias, but again be careful with heavy scents. Lilacs smell beautiful, but some are more scented than others.

– Spring is the time when many people start thinking about planting their gardens. Consider giving away flower or tree seeds in decorative seed packets as a wedding favor. The seeds can be for your favorite plant, or for one that has significance to your family. If I were planning a spring wedding, I would give away apricot tree seeds as a subtle reminder of my grandmother and the apricot tree on her farm that used to always be in bloom for her birthday in May.

– Small trees can also be used as centerpieces or used as favors. Choose ones that are about a foot high so they don’t block out everything at your wedding. If using them as centerpieces, plant them in decorative pots and include some planting instructions. For favors, they can be placed on a side table so they aren’t in the way during dinner. An announcement can be made after the speeches that they are for the guests to take home. Tie a note of thanks around their base with some raffia as an added touch.

Using color and seasonal  flowers  you can give your wedding a spring-time feeling without going to a lot of extra time or expense. Think spring and have fun decorating for your wedding!

Having someone at your side along way can help tremendously in the way of coming up with ideas and to help lighten the load. This can be a stressful time for the future bride, however by knowing the things you want and how to go about getting them will have you avoid hours of bridal mayhem. Make sure to involve your future husband with all wedding plans so he has the opportunity to contribute or have his say.

Check up on all  wedding flower orders  to confirm their arrival.   It doesn`t matter how precise you are you can bet something will go belly up on the day. Even the wedding experts can get it wrong sometimes. It only takes the slightest little thing to spoil what may have taken you a year or two to plan, if not longer. Typical mishaps like forgetting to inform the chauffeur where the church service is to be held or mislaying the wedding rings are a couple to mention. If you finalize particular wedding tasks early enough then you`re half way there in having a mishap carefree day.

Drawing up a wedding-to-do-list should be your top priority. Put a date in your diary to meet up with them who you have allotted a particular wedding duty to carry out. Keep these meetings regular so you know where you`re up to with the wedding tasks. What`s been accomplished can be ticked off your wedding-to-do-list. The more ticks there is the fewer headaches. Duties for wedding helpers might include ordering the flowers, baking the wedding cake, sending out invitations down to booking the minister for the wedding ceremony. Let the happiest day of your life stay that way by planning ahead.

The content bride will always look the prettiest on the day more than that of a miserable looking bride.

By highlighting some vital wedding issues will help you get yourself in order to achieve the perfect wedding. If you experience difficulty in planning your wedding, then in all due respect it maybe down to you that is making it difficult. You need to relax and take time out to think and not rush.

There are a lot of steps you will need to take when planning a wedding but taking one step at a time is the answer. Taking too much on at once can cause problems and cause you unnecessary stress. When planning a wedding, you need to make detail planning of the program. Let us begin with the wedding reception, some couples dedicate more of their time to this part of their wedding than any other part of the wedding events. You need to make sure that the venue hall is an ideal size for accommodating all your guests. Estimating the number of guests coming at this stage is not good, it is best to have exact numbers if it is a sit down meal because you could end up spending over the odds. Planning the reception should have you include and allow for the catering, decorations and entertainment.

Involve yourself with the catering and by doing this you get to check the menu with your caterer and change things as you go along. Wedding entertainment like hiring a disco DJ or live band is fabulous for getting people in the mood for dancing.
If you have to much on your plate and have no time to involve yourself with the catering then you will need to get a final head count for any meals to be served concerning your wedding to your caterer. This count should include the wedding photographer and coordinator as well as your wedding entertainment members, such as the DJ, muscians or singers.

When planning a wedding it is favourable to have wedding favors. The more unique the wedding favour the more it excites the guest. Send wedding invitations early so your guest will have time to prepare themselves for your special day. Your guest may have book a day off work, buy a new outfit or arrange for a baby sitter so it is important to send wedding invites at least 12 weeks in advance.

Wedding tips

1 Whether your hair stylist is calling to your home or you are to visit the hair salon, remember to wear loose clothing especially round the neck. After your hair has be styled in the fashion you want you don`t want to spoil it when removing any garments. A blouse is more ideal with a button down front.

2 If the bridal gown is designed for going over the head then place a pillow case or petticoat over first to prevent any lipstick/mascara smudges getting on the dress. It will also allow the dress to glide over the head without tossing your hair.

3 Don`t forget to remove the price tags from the soles off the shoes. This is easily overlooked and can go unnoticed; however not by the people in the church.

4 We all know children are easily bored and "will" get up to mischief at the drop of hat so if possible for the bridal dressing have a separate room for the kiddies to play and an adult to keep them in check. If the flower girls/bridesmaids are of toddler age – dress them last.

5 Keep beverages (coffee tea blackcurrant juice) at a distance if the wedding dress is fitted. Assist young children when thirsty by guiding the drinking cup to their mouth. Spillage is a spoiler.

6 Call the best man on the morning of your wedding day to make sure the groom did arrived home safe from the night before (stag do,) and at the same time ask him if he has the wedding bands. Men have been known to walk up the aisle without socks so keep this in mind.

7 The man`s buttonhole is traditionally worn on the left lapel, of course personal preference prevails. Have someone help the men pin their buttonholes because it is nothing new to see a beautiful displayed corsage – displayed upside down.

8 Don`t write your speech down on a scrap of paper because it`s easy to think it rubbish and gets thrown out. Nerves can have you say things that people may not want to hear so be careful with choice of words. Read your speech back as many times as it takes for you to be satisfied.

Wedding reminders for the to-do-list

Wedding ceremony location
Wedding programs, pew bows, chapel flowers, unity and taper candles
Marriage license and the officiate fees.
Useful pieces to have at your side – scotch tape for the gift table, a guest book and pen.
Have a basket for placing money envelopes in.
Don`t forget the silver knife for cutting the wedding cake
Glasses for the wedding toast.

Have a medical/emergency kit close by which should contain, make up and hair spray along with personal feminine items if needed. Other bits are Q-tips, facial tissues, aspirin or Tylenol. The list is endless so you could find yourself packing a case instead of a box. You need to know when to stop, mind you what about a nail file and clear nail polish, a stapler and safety pins, "see what I mean," oh and spare panty hose.
Why not make your special day special for everyone else too. You can do this by giving your guests a unique wedding favor.
Wedding favors are given as a way to say "Thank You" to the wedding guests, – and if the perfect favor is given then you will have very thankful guests.

Wedding favors Ideas

Cookies and Chocolates
Crystal
Guest books
Glass coasters
Photo Album
Silver Items
Bath sets
Unity candles

Check on your wedding plans regular to avoid last minute hiccups.

Should a problem rise on your wedding day then meet it head on with plan B.? You do have one don`t you. It is in your best interest to have back up. For instance if the photographer gets stuck in a traffic jam, then have a camcorder in the car. If the caterer has faulted and burnt the wedding breakfast, then have a pizza house number on your personal, or if the groom doesn`t turn up then settle for the better man i.e. "best" man. All joking aside it is important to have your standby props.
