The Fairy Tale Dream

Friday, February 13th, 2009

So you want to have a fairy tale themed wedding and you want to have it as dreamy as you’ve always imagined it to be. You can achieve this give the right tips and adjustment. Details should be given the right amount of attention such as the unity candles and bridesmaid gifts.

When we picture fairy tales, magical thoughts appear in our mind instantly. Fairy tales have long been associated with romance as well as the happy ever after theme. Adults and children alike are drawn to fairy tales and are both intrigued by the magic of its ambiance.

So you have your happily ever after endings and fairytale romances, it is only right that there be fairytale weddings in the mix too. And the great thing is you can have your fairytale dream weddings easily, or something that comes close to them anyway and there are a few ways you could go about doing so. It may not be exactly like the fairytale you have seen growing up, but there’s no reason that with the right wedding decorations and theme, it can’t come close to the real thing.

Choose the right venue and possibly a place that can be replicated to be that fairy tale scene you want to adopt; be it in a castle, mansion or a ballroom. After the venue is sorted out, you can now plan for the other elements that will ensure the success of your theme.

How to make the theme even livelier? Make sure the venue comes with a garden so that you can decorate the garden to resemble a scene from the fairy tale setting. The trees and the bushes will have fairy lights and the wedding arch can be adorned with flowers and creeping plants. If the garden has a gazebo, you can also decorate that with white flowing ribbons.

If you feel the need of hiring a wedding planner to make this theme a success, the by all means. The trick to make these wedding themes work is to resemble as much detail as possible to the fairy tale qualities such as the unity candles and sand ceremony. Just don’t be afraid to let your imagination run free.

The color white is often associated with fairy tales and with that said, your sand and unity candles should ideally be white too and decorated accordingly. You can find many choices of unity candles if you browse online bridal store and they are just so beautiful you’ll be completely lost on deciding which one you want. The sand ceremony unity candles are so beautiful they are fit for a royal wedding and it most definitely will compliment your fairy tale wedding.

A outdoor wedding ideass mentioned, you should strive to decorate every details of your wedding decorations resembling that of a fairy tale. This includes the bridesmaid gifts. You might be anxious that having to comply with this means that you might need to fork out a fortune. Don’t worry for there are beautiful gifts that will suit your fairy tale theme and are not expensive at all. Gifts such as crystal, pewter and especially silver can really pull this theme off.

Silver items make great inexpensive bridesmaids’ gifts, with things like silver necklaces, earring, bracelets, rings and many more, there is a lot of variety to choose from. The key to getting the best inexpensive bridesmaids’ gifts prices out there is to look around and not jump at the first thing you come across. With a few tips here and there, you are not far from accomplishing the fairytale wedding you have always wanted.

The Portable Gazebo

There Are Many Advantages To Having A Portable Gazebo

Most people love a gazebo because it looks so majestic on your yard. However, not everybody likes to have a permanent structure – mostly because different times can mean different uses for the space around your home. Those who prefer the portable gazebo to the regular-styled permanent one, do so because there are so many benefits to it.

The Versatility Of The Portable Gazebo

There are many reasons why people prefer portable gazebos; a few of these reasons (benefits) are listed below:

1. You can use them for anything and everything – all you need to set them up and you have a wonderful place to party, or for a garage sale, or a craft festival – you name it. You can place it anywhere you find suitable. You may like it facing the sun, or away from the sun, facing any particular cardinal point (sometimes this is considered auspicious on certain occasions – say, for a marriage ceremony), etc.

Normally, all you will have to do is get the frame set, install the poles, secure them these with ropes and stakes (as the instructions would say and show) and stretch the canopy over the erected frame. When the party is over, you can disassemble it and store the components where convenient for another time. Your courtyard is and stays as good as new.

3. Ready-made kits – some of these portable gazebo come in exceptionally well engineered kits, which needs nothing but one person to open them out. Once it is open, it becomes the required gazebo – instantly and majestically – wherever you like!

4. The portable gazebos are highly cost effective. There are excellent models of aluminum or canopy gazebos, which come within $100; a wrought iron frame-gazebo and other a little more heavy material in frames and styling, would cost something in the range of US$100-300 – which is less than a fraction of the cost you would need if you were to make this a permanent fixture.

5. You can buy it from anywhere – the portable gazebo is available at all outlets selling sporting goods, general stores, home materials and furnishing warehouses and of course on the Internet. Depending on what you like and where you are, you may choose whichever location is best for you. The Internet, in my opinion, is one of the best choices because besides seeing a good deal of models from all over the world, you can also compare the price and zero on the place(s), which offer most for the least cost.portable gazebo wedding decorations

Garden Wedding Ideas and Tips

Tuesday, February 10th, 2009

Contending with the wind, heat and rain possibilities can make planning outdoor weddings a challenge. Use these five tips to help make your beach or garden wedding a success.

Although fall is fast approaching, there are still plenty of events and weddings planned during these last days of summer. While beach, garden and outdoor weddings can be beautiful and romantic, they can also be problematic with the possibility of wind, heat and rain showing up uninvited. Here are some ways to plan ahead for these issues and make sure your outdoor wedding is a success.

garden wedding decorations Be prepared
Let’s face it! The weather is unpredictable. Even the best meteorologists make mistakes, and a sunny day can quickly turn into rain. Be prepared with a venue that offers outdoor as well as indoor space, and be sure they can accommodate a quick change at the last minute. Remember, even a light rain can lead to muddy shoes!

Be a good host
Whether your venue has shade or not, temperatures can feel even hotter when you’re sitting outside for a long period of time. Be a good host and accommodate your guests with personalized fans to create their own tropical breeze and bottled water to refresh them during the ceremony. If the locale doesn’t provide enough natural shade, consider renting a tent and electric fans. Situating the chairs so that the sun is behind your guests and not shining in their face during the ceremony will also help. Be sure to include citronella candles and pre-treat the area with a perimeter insect spray.

Be heard
Many times, sound in an open venue doesn’t travel well and guests in the rear may not be able to hear. It’s especially difficult when your nuptials are competing with other events in the area or the sounds of crashing waves. Avoid this by renting a good sound system with microphones for the minister, soloists, and of course the bride and groom so nobody misses a word.

Be stylish
Nobody looks good with underarm stains and wind-blown hair. Keep everyone looking their stylish best by choosing attire that will hold up outside. Avoid satin, chiffon and silk, and select a flowing fabric that breathes well, like cotton or linen. Suggest up-dos and mousse or gel (for the guys, too!) to help keep their hair in place. Giving your bridesmaids a personalized cosmetic bag with wedding-day essentials would be a thoughtful gift for the day.

Be wind wise
Outdoor weddings can be murder on candelabras and decor. The risk of having your decorations blown over can be minimized by using a sand ceremony unity set instead of a unity candle. It’s a great symbol of unity without the wind hazard. Incorporating lanterns and tea light candles work better than candles with an open flame. You should have no problem with other floral centerpieces and decor as long as they are weighted.

Be aware
If the reception will also be held outside, be sure the caterer prepares foods that can stand up to the heat. Cover foods in chaffing dishes and place "chilled" items in an ice-filled punch bowl to help keep them cool. Avoid salads that might wilt, foods that must be kept cold and anything with mayonnaise.

With these helpful tips, your outdoor wedding will certainly be a success.

A Look At Garden Gazebos

Tuesday, February 10th, 2009

A garden gazebo is the perfect way to accent your garden. Imagine being able to walk along the path between the koi pond and the flowers, the hedges and the willow tree, pausing to rest on a bench inside a gazebo. Its shade will comfort you, and its architecture will add that special geometric touch to your garden, striking the balance between nature and humanity. No matter what the environment of your garden, there is a garden gazebo out there just waiting to be bought.

In creating a garden gazebo, first choose your material from wood, metal, or vinyl options. Wood is the most common choice, and for good reason: it goes with any natural environment. Wood is available in pine, cedar, and redwood. Pine is the softest wood, ages to a rich yellow, and complements surrounding evergreens. Cedar is higher in overall sturdiness, is less prone to rot, and ages to a gray-brown. American redwood is the darkest, longest-lasting wood. Other woods can be used, but those are the most common.

gazebo wedding decoration Metal gazebos come in cast aluminum or steel and wrought iron. Go with steel and wrought iron if you want your garden gazebo to add a lovely dark and long lasting effect. These gazebos are often open-roofed, and so are great for stocking with plants, climbers, and other materials, making for a lush shade that changes with the seasons. Vinyl comes in white or black. Just as with wood and metal gazebos, they come in a variety of shapes and styles. Get trellis walls for a cottage feeling.
For enhanced usability in harsher weather conditions, get an enclosed garden gazebo. These can be partially enclosed, with partitions and movable screens, or totally enclosed, with solid walls and tinted windows.
Whether looking to expand a large corporate garden, or just to complement a small neighborhood plot, a garden gazebo is an inviting structure for rest, meditation, or meeting up with other people to enjoy the weather.

Wedding Planning and Theme Tips

Friday, February 6th, 2009

There is nothing more hectic in a woman’s life than planning her wedding.  So many things need to be taken into consideration, such as wedding rings, the dress, invitations, music, the venue…the list goes on and on.  Here are some things to keep in mind when planning your wedding: wedding reception decoration ideas

1.) Of course you need to get wedding rings.  Make sure the one you get is the one you want.  You’ll be wearing it for the rest of your life.

2.)  Your wedding dress doesn’t have to be white.  If you have always dreamed about having a red wedding dress, get it.  Don’t let other people’s opinion have an effect on your choices when it comes to your special day.

3.)  Make sure your bridal party (maid of honor and bridesmaids) help you out.  If you need help, ask them for it.  That’s what they were given the title for.

4.)  Don’t let one thing spoil the whole thing for you.  If something doesn’t work out, it’s okay. Chances are, no one will even notice but you.

There are so many different ways you can plan a wedding.  You can have a traditional wedding, a modern wedding, a theme wedding, or even a Las Vegas wedding.  Some ideas for theme weddings are a vintage wedding, western wedding, fairy tale…the choices are endless.

If you are planning a theme wedding, a good idea to keep the theme simple, and stick with it.  For example, don’t wear a vintage or antique wedding dress if you are trying to have a modern theme wedding.

If you are interested in a vintage theme wedding, you can check out different ideas here.
