Gazebo Wedding Decoration

Creating a gazebo wedding decoration to fit your budget and bring value to your special wedding celebration can be both challenging and rewarding.  The most important thing to remember though, is that it doesn’t have to be hard!  Do a little homework to find the right scheme that fits both your personality and your pocket book, and then don’t look back!  A gazebo wedding decoration will add to the general beauty and atmosphere of your special experience, but be careful to not let it overshadow the focal point of the day—you, the wedding couple!

After you have settled upon a general theme, you can get down to specifics, you can fill in the blanks from there.  Do you want your gazebo wedding decoration to blend in with nature, or would you like to have it come more into a focal point for the guests?  In the simplest sense, a nature theme could be achieved simply by utilizing greenery and plants.  Ivy or any other vine of your choice could be draped in swag fashion around the exterior.  Winding it in through the supports and over the hand rail is another possibility.  Ficus trees can add a nice touch, and can be used later to add beauty to your own home.    Flowers, plants and greenery symbolize life, a new beginning, and eternity, which is a good beginning to any marriage!

You may want to go a step further and incorporate ‘fairy’ lights (a fancy word for good ole’ Christmas lights!) woven in among the greenery and through the branches of the ficus trees. 

A theme for a gazebo wedding decoration that veers slightly from the nature’s own look is one that could incorporate streamers and bows.  As with the greenery, the streamers can be draped from post to post, showing as little or as much color as suits you.  You may want to even go one step further and incorporate tulle (a fancy word for ‘fine netting’!) into your scheme.  Use a combination that works for you, keeping your gazebo wedding decoration in good proportion to your other garden additions to maintain good balance.
 
Using whites, creams and basic colors in your plans will be helpful when considering whether or not to borrow or rent any of your decorations.  You can then consider adding in small touches of your wedding colors here and there for affect if you feel it will enhance the setting.  Chances are also higher that one of your friends, or a wedding rental firm will have what you need if you are willing to use basic colors as the foundation, then adding on the strategic use of color as needed.

Battery powered lights or lanterns are a better bet than candles, as even the best laid plans cannot control Mother Nature and the wind and breeze factor that may be present.  Balloons are fun and beautiful to use, keeping in mind that the tone of your reception will be shifting as you veer from the natural look.   Sheer drapes are also a soft touch that can be very nice.  Drapes that are hung and then gathered to the posts and held in place by ropes of flowers or garlands can be very effective and elegant.
 
Your gazebo wedding decoration can be a beautiful addition to your perfect day.  Your garden can become sophisticated and elegant, dreamy and romantic, or fun and informal.
